Christmas Service Guide



Please join us for some special services  during this Christmas Season


Sunday 2nd December 10am:  St. Nicholas ‘Toy Service’ Holy Communion.


Please bring an unwrapped gift which will be distributed to children via the Salvation Army.



Saturday 15th December 2pm:  Setting up the Crib


Parents and children are invited to help set up the crib and hear a story .



Sunday 16th December 6pm: Carol Service


A traditional service of lessons and Christmas Carols with mince pies afterwards!



Thursday 20th December 7pm: Carol Singing


Join us at Vineries Close as we sing around the parish in aid of the Children’s Society, refreshments afterwards in the Church Cottages



CHRISTMAS EVE


Monday 24th December 3pm: Nativity Service


Ideal for pre-school children and their families; please come dressed as shepherds, angels and other Christmas characters


Monday 24th December 5.30pm: Crib Service


More suitable for school age children and their families; come dressed as your favourite nativity character and help us retell the story of Christmas


Monday 24th December 11pm: Midnight Mass


The first communion of Christmas



CHRISTMAS DAY

 

Tuesday 25th December 8am: Holy Communion


A short service of said holy communion

Tuesday 25th December 10am: Special All Age Christmas Communion


Children are invited to bring a present they’ve received and tell us about it

Sunday January 6th 10am: We Three Kings


Sunday 27th January 10am: Christingle Service


A special Holy Communion service for Candlemas to mark the end of the Christmas season. Children are invited to receive a Christingle, which symbolises Christ as the Light of the world.
